SP di Giannella Km. 1 Loc. Santa Liberata, Orbetello (GR)
Giannella beach joins the Monte Argentario promontory to the mainland.
It is a sandy beach about 6 kilometers long with stretches of free beach alternating with equipped bathing establishments. The water is clear and shallow, perfect for families.
Behind the beach there is a large pine forest.
Argentario is located in the southern part of the Tuscan coast, considered by many to be one of the most beautiful coastal stretches in Italy.
Monte Argentario, formerly an island in the Mediterranean, is today welded to the mainland by two sandy strips called Tomboli di Giannella and di Feniglia which enclose the Orbetello Lagoon within them.
Opposite the Argentario are the Island of Giglio and the Island of Giannutri, which can be reached in about an hour by ferry.
In the center of the lagoon of the same name stands the characteristic town of Orbetello, joined to the promontory of Monte Argentario by an artificial road.
Orbetello offers its visitors naturalistic, archaeological and food and wine attractions.
